ANSWERS
Q: Where can I call to?Q: How easy is it to install?

A: No it will not interfere with any of these services.Q: How am I billed for my monthly ChatterBug service?
A: During your registration process, your monthly billing is set up to your credit card.Q: Where can I call from, ?
A: Continental US, Alaska, Hawaii.
A: Any phone number except "900 Pay-per-Call" numbers. The monthly $20.00 fee includes unlimited calls to the U.S. and Canada. International calling service is planned for release by next quarter.
Q: Can I use multiple phones ?
A: Some of our customers use cordless phone
systems that come with a base unit and extra handsets. The base
station of the cordless telephone plugs directly into the
PID. Multiple handsets can be placed anywhere in the
house.
Q: When calling other parties, do they
also need to use a PID?
A: No, when you call you can
use your phone just like you always have pick it up, dial
anyone with a working phone number and start talking!
Q: How do I make calls and receive calls?
A: Simply pick up the telephone that is
connected to the PID and make calls like normal. You'll
need to dial a "1" and the area code and phone number for all
calls outside of your area code.
Q: What are the limitations on where
it can be used?
A: Only for direct dial phones. Cannot be used
on telephone systems where you must first dial a number to get
an outside line.
Q: What about services like call
forwarding, conference calling, voice mail. Does it
interfere?
A: The PID does not interfere with the
operation of any of these services nor does it add any services
not available through standard phone service.
Q: What if I have multiple lines in my
home?
A: Our PID only works on the line (and
linked extra cordless handsets) on which it is installed. If you
want to cover more than one home line, you must purchase an
additional PID and pay for an additional monthly service
charge. Your normal long distance telephone charges will apply
to calls from those phones not connected to the PID.
Q: What does the light on PID mean?
A: When the light is on it means that the
PID is actively routing your call through the ChatterBug
Long Distance network.
Q: Will the PID work on a DSL, Cable or
Internet connection?
A: Not as of this date.
Q: Can I use it with my cable
phone service?
A: Not as of this date.
Q: What if it doesn't work?
A: You can return it. You have a 30-day money
back guarantee
Q: What is the extra cost for calling
international?
A: We are currently planning to roll out our
international service by next quarter. We will publish our rates
at that time.
Q: Is this service available in
Canada?
A: The PID allows you to call from the
US into the US and Canada. We are currently working with
resellers in Canada to offer service there. You will soon be also able
to call from Canada into Canada and to the US.
Q: Does the service include
local calls?
A: The PID will only handle your long
distance calls. All of your local calls will still go through
your local phone service provider.
Q: What service from my telephone service
provider am I required to have?
A: You need to have from your telephone
service provider any service that provides you with at least
local calls.
Q: Would the PID interfere with my DL
service or Internet service?
A: The PID will interfere with neither
your internet service nor your DL service.
Q: How does it handle a situation
in which a state has several area codes?
A: The PID will be able to determine
when it needs to work. When the PID is registered , you
will register a phone number to it. When you call a number with
an area code outside of your registered number, the PID
will pick it up.
Q: Does the $20.00 a month include all the
federal and state taxes, charges, and fees?
A: The $20.00 per month fee we charge includes all
charges. You do not pay any additional charge.
Q: Do I leave my DSL filter in place?
A: You do leave your DSL filter in place. The
PID should be hooked into your phone between the DSL
filter and the phone.
Q: Does PID work with Fax
machines?
A: No, the it can't work with fax
machines.
Q: How can I tell the PID is
working?
A: The tones will be repeated in your ear very
softly, the time until the phone actually starts to ring on the
other end may be longer than without the PID. The
"little Red light" (LED) will stay on for long-distance calls.
